The Tanaka family's grounds cover an area of approximately 3,000 tsubo (approximately 4,000 m2), with 20 storehouses surrounding a 100-meter square area. The Japanese garden, which changes its expression with the seasons, and the rows of storehouses and buildings are in perfect harmony with each other, and the life of the wealthy merchants has been handed down to the present day. In the exhibition hall, which was converted from a storehouse, visitors can see various works of art that have been handed down in the Tanaka family from generation to generation, as well as daily necessities of the time.
